Benefits include the opportunity to experience all aspects of live theatre and develop skills with onstage or backstage participation.

CHATS provides an opportunity to show your creative talents in a wide range of theatre including acting, directing, set design, set construction, lighting, stage managing and production, props, costuming, prompting and ushering.

We produce 3 shows per year and try to balance our program with a wide range of community inclusive shows that provide younger and older members the ability to showcase their talents to the local community.

Being a member is a great way of meeting new people who share a passion for theatre, creativity and fun!

We stage social events throughout the year that give you a chance to make new friends, for example BBQ's and Trivia nights, as well as contributing to the entertainment of the Coffs community.

Members who perform in a show or act as crew for the production will be given 2 complimentary tickets to the show!

Members also receive a complimentary ticket when they assist in a production, including being rostered on for Front of House duties (such as ushering and cleaning the theatre before or after a show).

If you like the idea of being involved with CHATS but don't necessarily want to perform, then there is still plenty of fun to be had as part of the backstage crew or helping to build show sets! We are always looking for reliable people who are enthusiastic about helping out in some way.
